Post firing, Noborigama, 5-2012

I finished the firing Monday about 7:00 am. From Saturday 5:00 am to Monday, about 50 hours.

Some notes.

I would have finished a little earlier but I made a mistake. After the first room reached temperature I relaxed and thought the second room was just a matter of feeding it some wood and letting the temperature rise. I did so, ignoring the front firebox. I did this for about 2 hours and by the time I came to my senses the front room had lost about 100 C., the back was about the same as when I started. Basically it took about 8 hours from then to get the back room to temperature.
