Update #5
I hoped I would finish today but I have run out of steam and am putting the kiln into overnight mode. The peak in #1 was 1100C so I am close.

Update #4, nobori firing
I am closing in on room #1, #2 is a nice temperature. I have been drawing back every evening with only stoking large wood in the front and resuming regular stoking during the day.

This was the peak at about 48 hours.

This is about 40 hours into it. I have stepped up the pace and plan on finishing tomorrow. The high temperature is the first room.

Here is the state of the kiln, about 24 hours in. I could go much faster but I need a lot of drying out of the kiln. Also, this pace is nice. The higher temperature is the room #1.
